Monitor No Longer Works. Need Help Troubleshooting

I have an LG 22MP55HQ monitor from a few years ago. It no longer works. When I plug anything into either the HDMI port or the VGA port I will get one of a couple of outcomes: Either it will show nothing and just be black. Or it will display the picture briefly, but only the bottom half of the backlight leds will light up and after a few seconds, the picture will flicker and then go black.
When there is nothing plugged in, the monitor seems to work as it should, it shows the no signal screen and all of the backlight leds light up.
It is out of warranty, and according to LG repairing it would cost more than the monitor is worth. Does anyone have any ideas?

sounds like problems with some components on the main pcb, yes, most times is more expensive to fix them than to get a new on,e sometimes sell it as spare parts gives more money

Yup, buy a new monitor. There is nothing you can do to fix it without replacing components and im figuring that is beyond the scope of this question.
