I can afford the 75hz but the 144hz is very expensive. Is it worth it? im also going to get a rx 480 soon and i know i wont get to go over 75fps but im sure old games like assassins 1,2,3 will probably be over 100fps

Solution
For Assassins creed 1,2 and 3, I hardly think anything above 60fps matters. An RX 480 will be better suited for a 75hz screen, unless you only play old and very low demanding gams where you think you could use that 144Hz.

I would recommend this Monitor, 75Hz, FreeSync

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Monitor: AOC G2260VWQ6 21.5" 1920x1080 75Hz Monitor ($131.12 @ Jet)
Total: $131.12
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

what about gta v and battlefield 1 its well above 75fps

Yes, but an RX 480 would not give you alot more than 75Fps at 1080p on Ultra. Unless your the type of gamer that mad about CS GO, or something like that where you would want 200fps, a 75Hz screen is more than enough. I own a 75hz FreeSync Monitor, and i have it connected to an RX 480, for latest games, your not going to get huge fps on Ultra settings and 75fps is very good especially with FreeSync.
