Hi All,

I have recently gotten a zotac 1060 6gb amp. I am intending to change my monitor to one that could optimize my gaming experience. If any recommendations please let me know, prefer 27in or abv monitors.

Solution
for 27" or above, get 1440p at least.
The 1060 6GB will handle most of the games on this resolution at least on high settings.
Monitors have way longer lifespan than GPUs, so you are probably going to upgrade you video card at least couple of times with the new monitor.
And for gaming you can always set the in game resolution to 1080p to get higher FPS.

so i should be looking to a 60hz? or should i go for 144hz?

GTX1060 for 1440p? It can do that but you will live with around medium settings on games like Witcher 3 if you want to have the game running at least 60fps.
Just do not forget, you can also play 1080p on 1440p monitor, if you need the fps boost. It does not look as blurry as some people say or as you think.

-important-
Do not go cheap on monitor, people tend to keep the monitor a lot longer than the GPU or even the PC.
If you can afford it go for 144Hz 1440p IPS monitor, with or without GSync.

get a 1080p monitor then dsr it to 4k and you can play at 1440p or 4k and choose something that has a good quality and don't bother getting 144hz you wont get that far get 60 hz and overclock it to 75 hz or even 100 hz
