What Frame Rate and Resolution Will HZD Run at on PS4?

Solution
We can't comment for an unreleased game, but it sounds like a solid 1080p at 30FPS for PS4.

The PS4 Pro probably is going to use HDR and run at an upscaled 1800p or similar (upscale to 4K, but downscale to 1080p).

*However, a couple games have actually ran slightly SLOWER on the PS4 PRO than on the PS4 because of running at the higher resolution first. So we don't know yet. You'll have to WAIT for reviews.

(That winged doggy game didn't run as smooth at times on the PS4 PRO compared to PS4)

The main issue is likely the CPU. The GPU (Graphics chip) portion is much higher but the CPU can't keep up at times when running at the higher resolutions.

So...

To be clear, if you have a 1080p monitor then the game on the PS4 PRO should run at closer to 1800p, then downscale. This will then be 1080p (but less aliasing/jaggies issues than normal 1080p). So the only question is whether it can maintain 30FPS or not.

The PS4 (non-PRO) version may also auto-drop to 1600x900 at times as well (it's actually a GOOD thing to do that if the HUD is kept at 1080p as it prevents stutter).

I wouldn't consider upgrading to a PS4 PRO if you don't have a 4K HDTV which can do HDR.

HDR looks better (but doesn't even have much support yet as it has to be added to the game), but if you don't sit close enough it's questionable how much 4K resolution will benefit the experience. For a console game it's probably mostly about anti-aliasing (jagged edge reduction).

Many people would argue it's a minimal benefit. Some thing it's a big deal.

MASS EFFECT Andromeda, sitting close to a 4K HDTV will look amazing. It also uses HDR for better color.
