Windows 7 vs Windows 10 x64 which is the best. Is it worth upgrading?

I want to know that Windows 10 is best compared to windows 7 including interface. I know DX12 will help me in gaming. And I also heard about the privacy concerned about Win 10 & Cortana, force update and no gadgets. But windows 7 supports ends in 2020.

Should I upgrade?

Main good reason to keep that PC on Win 7 compared to win 10 is driver support.

On Win 7 you have about 9 drivers, whereas on win 10 all you have is about 4 drivers (see http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4873#dl) so actually running PC and not getting driver errors is a very good reason to stay on 7.

Driver support is only reason I tell people to stay on 7 over 10.

And what about privacy related to Windows 10 & Cortana. Microsoft will take my personal and browsing data. i don't want anyone to monitor me.

But I also heard that all of them can't be disabled. Some of them remains.

If you have a graphics card which likes DX12, you should "update". If not and all is running fine, wait.

Windows 7 is in the matter of privacy safety not better then windows 10, depending which software you are using and where you browse the web, click on ads,...

Windows 10 has made huge strides for gaming. There was issues years ago with older games not being compatible on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. On Windows 10, those games work fine.

As for newer games, doesn't really make a difference.

i keep my laptop on windows 7 because the driver for windows 10 forces only integrated gpu, couldn't use my dedicated r9 gpu. I put it on my desktop just to keep things similar.
