So i've read the manual to check if my LG 22MP68VQ has what it needs to support 1080p at 75Hz and it does :
Resolution Max 1920 x 1080 @ 75 Hz
Recommend VESA 1920 x 1080 @ 60

But not matter what i do i can't find the option to choose 1080p 75Hz, only for 1280x1024 it gives me the opportunity to select 75Hz, which is quite odd. I have installed the latest drivers tho and i am using an hdmi cable

Same problem here.
My solution was to go into the Nvidia control panel and set up a custom resolution.

Nvidia Contro panel.
Change resolution.
Customize button.
Create custom resolution button.
Select or create the resolution you want.
Test.
Within 15 seconds click apply in the pop up window.
Save and exit.
