I've got a VGA monitor and a DVI-D port on my graphics card. What do i need so that my monitor will display?

Solution

The DVI-D won't work, get a DVI-I instead, they're not the same! Hope this helps
your Radeon actually has DisplayPort 1.3 out, one HDMI 2.0 out, and a DVI out.
Display port to VGA: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007N6MTNA?gclid=CjwKEAiAtefDBRDTnbDnvM735xISJABlvGOv3XZKVjh90WWyDQf0C5Jr01-JnZgou-8MNBQ3LOvemxoC6Urw_wcB
HDMI to VGA : I would not use that but it out there : https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Active-Adapter-Support/dp/B008O7RH5C
DVI-D to VGA : use current VGA cable and plug to on one end and plug it in video card https://www.amazon.com/Male-DVI-D-Female-VGA-Adapter/dp/B007EA48MA

Did you find a solution to this problem? I have the same card and issue. Have you tried a DVI-I to VGA converter for analog signal to the monitor? I'm going to get one to try.
