Windows 7,8 or 10?

I've recently ungraded my processor from a dual core. I want to get a 64bit windows but dont know which suits my desktop pc best. I mainly use it for gaming. Can someone please tell me which is good for best performance?
System specs-
Cpu- core 2 quad q9400
Ram- 4gb ddr3
Gpu- gt 730 2gb ddr3

Performance is almost identical across the three.
For forward compatibility, go with Win 10 Home x64.

You just bought a brand new CPU that is almost 10 years old? That is really weird. Also, in today's world 4 gb of RAM is ancient, everybody that is gaming is running a minimum of 16 gb of RAM.

Not true. 4GB of RAM is ancient, but for most cases, 8GB of RAM is sufficient. That said, if i were upgrading I would go with 16gb but there is no problems running with 8GB.

As for the question, I would definitely go with windows 10. Windows 7 is already EOL and there is no point in going to 8 over 10.

I agree. I would choose Windows 10 over Windows 8 and 8 gb of RAM should be sufficient for most purposes.

Because it is a cheap yet good upgrade to my socket 775 mobo till it runs out. Any better processor would mean buying a new mobo and ram which is way out of my budget... Hehe

Guys, a serious trouble!
Today i installed windows 10 home x64. But then i realised that my gpu driver is said to support windows vista, 7,8, 8.1. There is no mention about win 10.
My gpu is asus silent gt 730 2gb ddr3.
Anyway, i installed its driver. I see its name in the display adapters in device manager. Does this mean that the drivers are installed? Is it working?
