Does a cheap SATA cable work the same as a more expensive one?

This is a noob question here, but I'm thinking about getting this hard drive: https://goo.gl/uXHkPI
(the 4TB version) for storage to store large files internally. Will a cheaper SATA cable suffice with the same result? Thanks guys!

Cool thanks! Would a cheap SATA III cable that costs .60 cents be the same as a $5 cable? I just wanna get the most speed out of this new drive.

It won't make a difference on the speed of the drive.

I'd go with one that has locking, if your chasis gets stuffed a bit, unlocked cables can unplug so it's a bit annoying. If you move your computer around (lan parties, university housing <-> home etc.) you should get ones with the lock, it's one thing less to worry about and increased cost is minimal.
