Unable to create new folder in Registry [how to disable cortana in windows 10]

I've just created a new user for my PC. I can't add the "Windows Search" folder to the Registry. See above.

It says something like I don't have the rights or permission....something along those lines.

If I change from standard user to administrator to the user account, would I then be able to create the new folder in the registry?

Please, please, please....make a backup of your Registry before you do this.

But yes, doing this from an admin account should work.

And those yellow icons in the registry aren't called folders, they are "keys".

It worked. Simply changing account type from standard user to admin account did the trick.
