Dear Forum Users

I have a brand new HP Pavilion 15-au112ng notebook with the following specs.
Core i7 Processor
8 GB RAM
4 GB Nvidia Graphics Card
Windows 10
1 TB HDD+128 GB SSD

1x HDMI Port
1x USB 2.0
2x USB 3.1
No HDMI
No VGA
No DVI

I have 2x BenQ G2420HDBL LED monitors with D-Sub DVI-D Port.

I would like to connect my laptop to these external monitors for a Dual Display Setup which helps me in increasing productivity of my work in less time.

Please suggest a suitable docking station solution.

Thanks in Advance
Koushik

HDMI to DVI will give you one monitor.

Unfortunately your USB 3.1 ports do not appear to be USB 3.1c Thunderbolt compatible - which unfortunately means that you do not have a native option to use more than one external monitor.

The only solution would be to purchase a USB based graphics card to enable a second external monitor.

Something like that.

Does that work with all laptops? I would imagine it is dependent on the max resolution supported, right? I honestly have never seen a device like that!

I see it has a compatibility checker, be sure to use that first to make sure your system will play nice!

You're right in that there are some graphic resolution limitations. Previous models didn't go full HD, but the latest versions do. There are also different models with different inputs, in case the OP's laptop does not have a displayport output. Matrox has had these devices out for a number of years now. I've been recommending them (full disclosure, never used one) for years.
