I was using a DVI cable to connect my Nvidia GTX 1080 card to a Samsung Sync Master B2440 Monitor at 1920/1080 1080p and everything had been fine but I swaped the DVi cord out for a HDMI cord and ive lost the edges of my desktop

Im running Windows 10
My Nvidia drivers are up to date
Screen refresh is 60hz

Any ideas? Ive tried playing around with the Overscale/underscale options under Nvidia control Panel as suggested in a few other threads but Im not noticing any difference, the only setting I have found that corrects the problem is the resize option but Im not real keen on sacrificing resolution.

Any help would be much appreciated

Solution
Ok I seem to have found a solution to this (Ill include it here incase anyone else has the same problem and finds it useful

Went into my monitor setting (using the buttons on the monitor) navigated to
Size & position then Image size and choose Screen Fit, the monitor changed and I had the edges of my desktop
