So I've tried installing windows 10 countless times on my PC. Every time I get the issue of freezing. During the installation I had to lay a rock on a key to keep everything from freezing during the entire process. After hours and hours of errors and restarting I am finally able to get to the desktop. Victory. Only there's one problem. The freezing persists, every 2-3 secknds I must press on a key on the keyboard for it to unfreeze. I went back to Windows 7. I do not have any problems there (except for every other day or so I get 30 second hangs that ctrlaltdel can't unhang). What is wrong with my PC? It was a fresh install of Windows 10 on a formatted SSD. My mobo is ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 and my CPU is an FX-4350. Running a GTX 760 as well. Please help me out

On Newegg under supported Operating Systems, Windows 10 isn't there. It only goes to Windows 10. Did you get the latest BIOS/UEFI update?

Check in the BIOS/UEFI settings. There might be some windows 10 optimizations you can fiddle around with like Fast Boot.

As Tenslaster2980 stated, update your BIOS/UEFI. The latest BIOS version for your board is version 2501 updated on 5/14/2014.

Extremely late response but the BIOS update fixed months of problems. Thank you all so much. Also, I got stuck on the "Welcome" screen and all I had to do was remove my USB wifi dongle and restart and I got past it. I hope other people's issues can be solved too. I am going to buy a key off of kinguin if not having a license key becomes a major issue.
