I'd like to hear your opinion.
I've got a (gaming) pc with the following specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 3.20GHz
GPU: Radeon HD6950 1GB
Ram: 8gb
MB: Asus P8H77-v le
The games I play on my pc are GTA 5 and Battlefield 1, although I have to play the games on the lowest graphics and Battlefield 1 on windowed mode.
I played at a friend on his PS4 and I liked it, but my question is should I buy a new GPU or a PS4, and if I buy a good GPU, do I have to upgrade my CPU too, to make it work properly?
I'd like to spend about €200,00 (almost £175 and $215). I can buy a PS4 on a second hand website but I don't know if there's a GPU that's good for that amount of money.
Thanks!!

If you were to upgrade GPU to like gtx 1060 or 480, this is how the game play would look like on 1080p on battlefield1

I have two feelings on this one just because your GPU is kinda old, but I have a playstation and I use it all the time. If I had to choose I think I would go for PS4, not just for games but since I still have a non smart tv I use it for my other stuff like netflix. Also go for a PS4 just because playing games with a controller is so much fun sometimes. One thing I do with my PS4 is rent a game from Redbox.com before I buy it, or when friends come over I rent a game we can all play like a fighting game and take it back when we are done.
Its not quite the same when a friend comes over and you gotta share a computer. :)

No reason you can't use a controller for PC gaming. I do for all the RPGs I play on PC.

upgrade graphics card 100%....
my reasons for this are:
1. you already own the games on pc,
2. games you don't own on it are cheaper on pc,
3. pc will always be upgradable
4. you can always stream your game to living room t.v.
5. you can bet the games look better on pc as your pc will be above that of a ps4

only reason to go for ps4 is for exclusive games available on ps4 (not many), I bought a ps4 12 months ago for the release of uncharted 4, its been sat gathering dust for the most part. the main thing that gets used of the ps4 is the controller as I use it on my pc ;-)

I think I'm going for the gpu, the only thing is my monitor is bad, but if I would buy a ps4 I'd have to buy a tv.
Thanks for all the answers!
