Hi!
Wonderful helpful people if Tom's hardware I have a problem ;(
I recently bought a computer off a friend to replace my current one.
Specs:
Intel i7 4790k
Asus maximus gene vii
32gb corsair ram
Corsair ax860
SSD pny cs900 240gb SSD
GTX 760 removed from my old computer and installed.
So when I boot the computer everything seems fine, then when on the log in screen it stutters and freezes. Then when I make it past the log in screen the suffering and freezing continues, like when trying to open the start menu.
I managed to boot it after a shut down and everything worked well. I created a system restore point.
Then plugged in my second monitor and rebooted. The issues continued.
It also flashes with no signal then it resumes.
I have done three clean installs of windows.
Done the driver uninstaller suggested, and looked at many of the posts from Google that come up and follow their suggestions.
Intel graphics drivers are removed and only the core graphics driver and poly engine are installed from Nvidia (installed manually not through GeForce experience).
Windows automatic driver installation is disabled, someone suggested that.
The computer works perfectly fine in safe mode.
I have changed the PCI slot the GPU is plugged into.
