Can I use old cd key windows 7 on windows 10

i have a prebuilt pc i have windows 7 built in i can use the same cd key on windows 10?

You cannot use a win 7 licence to upgrade to win 10 anymore if you haven't already but you can use the assistive technologies upgrade to get it

That is from October 2015, you could use the win 7 key to upgrade until the upgrade period ended. The upgrade period was July 2015-June 2016.

The only way to get it free now is what i linked above.

As far as I know the assistive tech upgrade doesn't expire. I would try that before buying a key.

Buy one from Microsoft instead if you worried about the source. I would prefer to pay a little more to make sure key still works in a few months time. They have an online store in most countries.

I would answer faster but forums playing up and not telling me about responses to posts. Instead its telling me about things I already answered.
