Hey, I'd like to see what suggestions and help you could give towards me as I'm wanting to upgrade my PC. I have the money to upgrade either my GPU or CPU at the moment but I'm not too sure on what would work out better and has most use overall.

My Current Build:

- i5-4460 3.2GHz
- GTX 960 2GB
- 8GB RAM DDR3
- 450W PSU

GPU Plan:
I am definitely wanting the GTX 1070 DUAL OC 8GB which I would also buy an EVGA SuperNOVA G2 ATX to back it up for my future build (Including higher CPU, etc).

Or...

CPU Plan:
My other plan is to get a i7-6700K CPU with the Motherboard (Asus Z170-A), Ram (DDR4 16GB Corsair Vengeance) and CPU Cooler (Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo).

In summer (July) I should have enough for the rest of my specs depending on which one's I didn't choose.

You should probably upgrade GPU, it will go nicely with a i5 4460.

If you upgrade CPU, I think there is a chance of your CPU being bottle necked by GPU.

Edit: It would probably be fine reading other people's responses.

Yep, a GTX1070 will give you a better gaming experience right now. Getting a new core system won't really be significantly faster in most games.

As for your CPU/Motherboard/Ram plan, you could just get an an i7-4790k and some memory and be within about 10% of a shiny new i7-7700k

If I recall correctly my i7-4770k at 4.3Ghz managed an 866 on Cinebench. i7-7700k at 5Ghz, and with that one successful test I had at a 5Ghz uncore, 1086 on cinebench. i7-4790k runs at 4.4 Ghz boost. My best stable result was something like 1050. Had to bring the uncore down to 4.5Ghz.

Basically you are already at a decent level of hardware. I upgraded for the I/O and an NMVe SSD. and I like doing re-builds from time to time.
