I have finally finished building my PC and am looking to upgrade my monitor from the small TV I've had in my room for 7 years. I decided 1440p would be the best resolution for my build. I'm looking for something with IPS, < 5ms response time, at least 25 inches, and under $300 due budgetary constraints. Something that can overclock to at least 75hz would also be nice. So far the best I've found with my preferences is this one: https://smile.amazon.com/Acer-G257HU-smidpx-25-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00QS0AKVK/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1485862753&sr=1-2&keywords=monitor&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A6570749011%2Cp_n_size_browse-bin%3A3547806011%7C3547807011%2Cp_36%3A-30000#. Do you guys have any suggestions for something better or is this one worth sticking with?

The only other options don't fit perfectly within your constraints but I'll list them since they have their own merits as well.

The Qnix QX2710
1440p
4ms GtG
27"
60hz stock though many have overclocked to 75hz+
AH-VA panel which is very similar to IPS
<$250

The ASUS PB277Q
1440p
1ms GtG
27"
75hz stock
TN Panel - Compared to IPS panels, TN panels generally have lower input response time making them good for gaming, but have poor viewing angles and good but not great color reproduction
~$250
