should i get a 144hz monitor(gsync or freesync)

im currently mainly for gaming 1080p.I want to play old and current games and i know i wont reach 100fps on current with the gtx 1060 6gb im going to get but on old games it will get over 60fps(if im getting a 60hz monitor)or 75fps(if im getting a 75hz monitor).Im thinking of getting this monitor https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FZJkcf/acer-xf240h-240-144hz-monitor-umfx0aa001

As for synchronization type, if you get GTX 1060, you need gsync monitor. (Freesync is AMD's)
As for refresh rate, many will tell you how super great it is to get >100Hz and others will tell you they cannot tell the difference between 60 and 100 (myself included). So the best way would be to borrow or try in some other way whether you can percieve any difference at all.
