BenQ GW2265HM. Price is $140, might be able to find it a little cheaper elsewhere. It has a VA...

I remember buying a relatively cheap LG monitor with a TN panel, looked similar to that one, and being very dissatisfied with washed out colours and bad viewing angles. Returned it the next day. Can't say how it'll compare to that one, but hopefully it's not too inconvenient for you to return if you don't like it.

I ended up buying this monitor instead, really happy with it. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/benq-benq-21-5-60hz-6ms-led-monitor-gw2265hm-black-gw2265hm/10300688.aspx?path=824a23ee0ddc16cea7deda35c295a423en02

BenQ GW2265HM. Price is $140, might be able to find it a little cheaper elsewhere. It has a VA panel which I really like, good colours and black levels. Apparently VA panels tend have slower response times which can make them worse for gaming (ghosting), but I've never noticed anything. I don't play a lot of fast paced games though, but I don't think GTA V or Fallout 4 would be considered especially fast paced either.

It also has built in speakers. As one might expect they're not great, but I find them good enough and convenient.

I'm Canadian too, not sure why that matters.

Not everyone wants or needs super low response time. I was gaming on that BenQ monitor for over a year and was never bothered by the response time. It just depends on what games you play and how sensitive you are to that kind of thing.

Longer warranty is obviously nice, but if it costs a bunch more to get a monitor with a long warranty it kinda defeats the purpose...
