I'm strongly considering purchasing this monitor second hand via e-bay.

How does he back light bleed look? Taking into account how much a camera can exaggerate the issue I think it looks pretty ok but looking for some advice. Thanks in advance.

go to a store the has one on working display and play around with it and its settings and see with your own eyes [ reasons I all ways buy a monitor or tv in store never mail order site unseen ]

just google monitor or hdtv backlight bleed and start reading up
