ASROCK Z97 Black Screen Bios/UEFI

I am trying to start my computer for the first time and work in the BIOS/UEFI. Every time I hit DEL or F2 to get into my UEFI it is a black screen with just the cursor. When I move the cursor around the screen begins to show pixel by pixel, yet it won't uncover everything.

I have a ASRock Z97 Extreme4 motherboard if that helps. Please let me know what I can do to fix the issue and move forward. If you need to know anything else, just let me know.

First check see if your Bios is up to date or if you know it is, then clear CMOS and try. Check the monitor, GPU and cabling connections via or from another system to eliminate that possibility and if that don't work then RMA the MB.
Always best to list your full system specs.
