With that build I'd probably go with 1440P/60hz/IPS but it really depends on your budget. If your playing more FPS games such as BF1 then a better option would be a 1080P/144hz.

Thats what im trying to narrow down, the boys like cod, battlefield, type games, I like more simulation type games but might venture into some more main stream games.

Either of those would be good for that system but I'm not sure which out of them would be a better choice. I do own the ASUS VG248QE (1080P/144hz) and it is a really good gaming monitor however for some single player games/MMO's I kind of wished I went for the 1440P/60/IPS as the colors aren't the best but running 144hz for FPS and racing games is great.

There's always the option for a 4K/60hz/IPS within that budget however you will need to lower some settings for smooth gameplay with just a single GTX 1070.
