Hi guys, I'm building a PC for the first time, I've put together a part list, I'm looking for it to be on the high end of builds but not off the rails with two 1080s or anything.

I'm not too sure about what motherboard to get in particular, any advice or feedback on the build would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot :)

Everything looks good, a few things you may want to consider though:

I might suggest instead of the Samsung 850 EVO, going with an NVMe SSD, as the motherboard you selected has the M.2 slot for one. This will give you faster read/write performance. Here is a link to Samsung's 950 Pro NVMe SSD

As far as the hard drive goes, you could get a Seagate 2TB BarraCuda drive at about the same cost as the 1TB you selected.

You can get a GTX 1080 for about the same cost too, which would be better suited toward 4K and VR.
Here is an 8GB GTX 1080 for example

Depending on your future intentions with this build, you may want to select a higher wattage power supply.

As far as the motherboard goes, the Asus Z170-A looks a solid choice.

Feel free to reply or PM me if you have any further questions :)
