I Own a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville SE. The day after I bought it I found out the stereo was shot. I really want to get a small amplifier with direct input, and wire it up to the front and rear speakers, and use it instead of a stereo period. (With an Aux cord)
The issue is I don't know the specs of the speakers in the car. I know that they're 10ohm, but I don't know what kind of wattage they are. I assume 40-50, but than again they did put some pretty nice speakers in those cars.... so I almost think they might be 100 watts...
I don't want change out the speakers just so I know the specs, I just want to use the ones that are already in it. Because the DAY I had the stereo working, the rear speakers in the car played my heavy bass songs with ease, it seems Pontiac were pretty damn good with stereos too. (Also, a link to a nice 1.5 DIN stereo that isn't $300 would be great.)
