Laptop Stats:
Lenovo G50-70
Intel Core I7-4510U CPU 2.00GHz 2.60 Boost
8.00GB Ram
Intel HD 4400 Graphics Integrated.

So basically my laptop is currently running windows 10 and when i start it up it has a very dark screen light up then dim constantly for a random amount of time up to 15mins. I have a feeling it must be something to do with windows 10 because it only started happening around the last 3 weeks maybe longer because I don't restart my pc often but I also reverted windows updates for the last 3 months also wiped my pc other than the OS to see if it will help but also needed a wipe.

I am not a complete idiot when it comes to pcs but all that happens is press power button then the screen dim/light up spam happens but it might be the pc crashing and failing to start and just a cycle of restarting till it kicks in then after a while it will load the lenovo icon and load the pc normally.

Its a random amount of time for the pc to start and work and I have noticed if i hold the power button so it turns off then start up it speeds up the process. also have tried upgrading all my drives for the I7 & HD graphics and downgraded but still no change.

Any suggestions other than a complete OS reinstall since I don't have any discs since I did the free windows 10 upgrade from 8.1 which came with the laptop.

Thanks for any feedback.

I googled that second screenshot error and all posts say it looks like a mechanical error with the hard drive and could that mean It is just dying on me? I am also doing full hard drive error scan while we speak but will take a while.

Also my hard drive is SATA 3 (6.0 GB/s) if that helps

Nope its nearly 3 years old and I think its my HDD. Costs £50 for a new one but will have to see since this laptop is frustrating because lack of graphics card.

Thanks anyway for the help.
