I recently went for an upgrade of my PC...i installed all the hardware correctly but when i connect my monitor to the motherboard (in order to disable the onboard graphic so that i would be able to use the new graphic card card that i bought) the screen receives no signal....i made sure that the adapter was firmly connected but no result

Thx for the reply. I've tried using a HDMI cable and it worked which meant that i didnt uave to install the drivers first.... But the tv's in my parent's room which means that i cant use it...I'll try to exchange the VGA to DVI convertor, maybe it is faulty.Oh and btw the monitor supports only VGA.
