I am upgrading my pc to a new kaby lake i5 and either gtx 1060 or rx 480, and am looking for a new monitor to pair with my new hardware. From what I have researched, these gpus can support both, just for the most part not at the same time. It isn't in my budget to get a 1440p 144hz monitor at the moment and my current monitor is an asus 1080p 60hz 1ms response time monitor. I have seen 144hz but am not really convinced that it is that much better and that I wouldn't be able to max out all my games and still get 144fps. I play games such as csgo, overwatch, gta V, killing floor 2, g mod, and skyrim.

The BenQ XL2411Z and the ASUS VG248QE are the best, but Acer and AOC have decent models if you can't find those at decent prices. I have the AOC G2460PF and it's ok but the colors are a little washed out and the grading of the blacks is pretty poor.
If you play casually, 1440p, if you play CS and overwatch competitively, then 144hz. It makes a big difference in those games. I moved to 144hz about a year ago and will never go back. If you have a friend with one i'd see if he'll let you try it out for a few minutes. I've noticed that my aim in CS improved quite a bit.

I'll probably go with 144hz, are there any 24" monitors that you recommend? Preferably around $200.
