Change Virtual memory

I have 2.5 HB in the computer. It is slow do I want to change vertual memory. The min is 16 what can the max be? I'm allowed 6000. Now it shows 16 mb allowed recommended 1662 mb currently 1664 mb

If the computer is slow, increasing virtual memory won't help. You need to add physical RAM to speed it up.

Virtual memory needs to be increased only if you are getting out of memory errors.

All Virtual Memory is is a space on the hard drive where data gets stored if you don't have enough physical RAM. As a general rule, leave it on "system managed" unless you have good reason not to.
