Dell U2414H or what 24" 1920 x 1080 monitor"

My system, MSI 890FXA-GD70, 8GB ram, AMD Phenom II 1090T processor, getting a GTX 1050 GPU, running Linux Obuntu 16.04.

Should I consider/look at other 24 inch monitors other then the Dell U2414H ?
It received a good review on TFT but it was some time ago. It has the connectors I will be using (DP, HDMI).

Enough to get a good monitor with IPS, 144Mhz, $350 give or take.

I've been reading here about the U2414H and it seems to have a LOT of problems that Dell doesn't address, is this normal?
