Im looking to buy a new Motherboard and CPU and am not sure about which way to go looking at the Hashwell + Kaby Lake CPU.

The computer will be used for:
70% Media (Adobe, 3D-rendering, a little video editing) + 30% gaming

Any recommendations on which way I should go? I've specificly been looking at:

The Hasswell way:

Motherboard:
ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel

CPU:
Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 2011-v3

The Kaby Lake way:

Motherboard:
ASUS ROG Maximus IX Formula LGA1151 DDR4

CPU:
Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Quad-Core 4.2 GHz LGA 1151

I already have the following components:
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (MSI)
CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
RAM: Kingston HyperX Pred DDR4-3000 QC - 32GB
SSD: Samsung 850 PRO SSD - 256GB

Haswell without even a slightest doubt. The main and only reason for that: it has a 6-core CPU with hyperthreading (12 threads in total), which will be much better suited for rendering and video editing. The second rig is "only" a quad core with hyperthreading, so no comparison here.
