should i delete windows.old folder?

i am using windows 10. yesterday my os had a major update. after that a 20 gb of size windows.old folder automatically creted in C drive just below Windows folder. should i delete that Windows.old folder ?

What if you discover some major problem with this new update and want to go back to previous build?
If you delete windows.old folder, you won't be able to do that.

If you're sure, there are no problems with this new update, then go ahead and delete that folder.
Also you can do it using Disk Cleanup application.

No need to delete it. It will automatically delete itself after 30 days, but you should keep it until then, as you may need to roll back the update if you happen to run into a problem.

which disk cleanup software is safest?

That application is included into windows.
Just write "disk cleanup" into search box.
