First time overclocking, need help/tips

Hi, so first off I'll go over my system; i5 6600k @3.5Ghz, MSI GTX 1060 @2Ghz, z170 Pro Gaming Mobo, HyperX 16GB DDR4 RAM @2133Mhz, EVGA Supernova G2 550W, be quiet! Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler. I want to overclock my CPU, but I am not sure how to go about doing this. I don't want any crazy overclock or anything, just a nice boost in performance CPU wise. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

But for a basic overclock, throw the voltage up to 1.3 and set the multiplier to 43 or so and see what happens. Keep an eye on temperatures.

Done! Voltage is 1.3, overclock is 4.3Ghz. I ran Aida for about 15 minutes and the average temperature is ~49. I saw that sometimes the clock would dip to 4.299 or sometimes rise to 4.301. Also the voltage is 1.296 rather than 1.3. Is this normal? Thanks

Those are normal fluctuations. Seems like you have a lot more headroom to play with.
