Hello!

I bought 3 Lenovo IdeaPad 110 laptops, they were shipped with 8 GB RAM, 4 GB soldered to MB and 4 GB in aditonal module. The aditional modules were removed cause I only needed 4 GB of RAM since I had to install Windows 7 32-bit on the laptops because of the legacy programs that will be used on them.

Anyway, to the real issue. When I go to System in Windows 7 it says only 2,13 GB of RAM is used. Why is that so? From my experience, when I installed 32-bit Windows 7 on a PC with 4 GB of RAM it was arond 3.5 GB that was available.

What can I do to solve this (I don't have the laptops at hand atm)? Thanx!

I can check that in the BIOS? Or somewhere else too? The laptops have Intel integrated GPUs (integrated in the CPUs), I doubt the GPU would take so much RAM.

OK, what if in BIOS I see 4 GB of RAM (as I should) and only 128 MB dedicated to GPU. What would that mean, where is the rest of the missing RAM? :D

These are new out-of-the-box laptops, with Windows 7. How could there be a ramdisk installed? I'm asking for other possible causes cause when I get back to work I'll have to fix this ASAP and if's not a dedicated RAM for GPU I'd like to know beforehand what else I can try. Thanx.
