Hi,
I've recently re-installed Windows 10 onto my PC, but now every time I try to run an executable file, it loads to the installer and then crashes straight away. The only exception with this is that I have been able to download and run Google Chrome perfectly. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to provide more information.

Describe the crash. Is there an error?
Are the executables from a backup or freshly downloaded?
Did installation go smoothly?
Was it a complete format or a refresh?
What reason did you reinstall for, a virus, slow system, bsods, etc?

When I'm trying to install Steam, it says 'Steam has stopped working', and I have to close the program.
They are fresh executables.
My Windows 10 installed fine, no errors.
It was a complete format.
I reinstalled because my system was more sluggish than it used to be.

Run a system file check. Open cmd.exe as admin and run sfc /scannow

If no errors, make sure to check Windows Update for updates.

Windows Resource Protection found some corrupt files, but were unable to fix some of them.
I have the log in a notepad file, how can I share this with you?

If you're still having problems, run these commands in an admin cmd.exe

Code:
findstr /C:"[SR] Cannot repair member file" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt
notepad sfcdetails.txt

Then post or private message me the contents of the newly created file "sfcdetails.txt".

I've manually restored broken files on a few occasions.

After you provide the sfcdetails file I'll write you a custom script to remove and replace the broken files.
