So I just added my TV as a second monitor for my PC so that I can play games on the big screen, I have set it up so that the TV is the primary monitor so games will be launched on that screen and configured it so that the sound will come from the TV speakers, that all worked awesome.
My problem comes when I launch games, most games work fine, but when I Launch one of the newer games from Bethesda like Skyrim Special Edition or Fallout 4, the game either takes up the top Left 2 thirds of the TV screen or it takes up the entire TV screen and half the monitor.
I have tried adjusting the settings in the launchers for Skyrim and Fallout but it's odd, I only have the option to make the aspect ratio 16:9 or 16:10 and the resolution 800x450 for 16:9 or 1024x640/800x500 for 16:10. Oddly enough though, if I launch the standard version of Skyrim or Fallout 3 they work perfectly.
It seems odd to me that the older versions of the games would support my TV but not the newer versions. Not sure how relevant it is but my TV is a 50" LG, not a smart tv.
