Recommendation on graphics card

With Ryzen coming out, I have pre-ordered the 1800x and be purchasing a mobo soon. Most likely one of the Asus x370 boards. What i'm hesitant about is what gpu I should purchase. With rumors of the gtx 1080 Ti coming out possibly in feb-mar and vega in may.. Which should I get? Should I suck it up and wait for Vega? Will the performance be that different? I know this would be speculation at best.. but would like some ideas.. Such as the performance between the 1080 Ti and the vega will be negligible or if the vega gpu is going to crush nvidia.. Please help.. I'd like to build my PC asap, but would wait if vega is going to kill it.

I wouldn't expect the Vega to outperform a 1080Ti, however it may completely undercut the vanilla 1080.

So worse case scenario I would be paying more for about the same performance? As stupid as it sounds, I could live with that.

Let's wait and see what both AMD and Nvidia have for us at GDC
