Hello guys,

I would like to ask you for a advice.

Recently I bought new motherboard (ASUS Z170 PRO) together with new CPU ( Intel Core i5 7600k). Everything works but now I've noticed, that my BIOS version is older and my new CPU is not on the list with supported CPU, however I have not noticed any problems so far.

What do you think should I upgrade to the newest bios version nevertheless?

Manufacturers are notoriously lazy when it comes to updating compatibility lists and eventually update them only when BIOS update is absolutely necessary.
As far as I can see, that processor is compatible with 3007 BIOS version.

"Core i5-7600K (3.8GHz, 4C, L3:6M, Intel HD 600 series, 91W, rev.B0) 3007"

Thank you both for a quick reply. I found out that my bios verion is the very first version when mb was released.
Some mother board functions like XMP or auto overclock for CPU was not working

So I had to take that risk and I uploaded bios to the newest version. Actually I have feeling, that improved my system performance.
