HDMI PC to TV connection resets constantly

Hello, I have my pc connected to my LCD TV through an HDMI cable, Geforce GTX 1070 to a Samsung UE46ES5800. I have a 10m cable and another small cable with an HDMI-HDMI adapter connecting them because the 10m weren't enough.

The HDMI connection interrupts/resets itself in random intervals, around 20/30 minutes, like when you change source inputs on the TV.

Did any of you experience similar issues? could it be the adapter causing this? Is there any setting on the TV controlling the HDMI inputs that could influence this? I ask because If it were a physical connection issue I'd find 20-30 minute intervals unlikely.

Probably the adapter but why not move the PC closer temporarily and test. Empirical testing is always better than guessing

Most liekly the HDCP-handshake that gets lost every now and then. A better cable and les plugs in between might fix that.

I agree, I've learned the hard way. Make sure you are using good quality hdmi cables.

I have an hdmi port on the tv and a different plug on my pc, don't know the technical name but it's hdmi style on left side and straight on right side. this connection worked fine on previous tv.
