So i recently got myself into PC building, my last PC was back in 2001 haha i just created a toms hardware account just because every time i looked for info on PC related stuff toms hardware would always come up with helpful info. I ran unigine heaven benchmark on my msi gtx 1070 gaming x and got a score of 2986 and couldn't find any info on how these scores work or if my score was good or not.

Honorable
From what I've seen using Unigine it calculates it based off of the three scores it takes, average FPS, min FPS, and max FPS. I took the overclock off of my EVGA card and set my screen res to 1600*900 and got a score of 3000, so your score sounds right. If I put the overclock on, I get around 33-3400.

most people will run that in the extreme preset @ 1080p

change the settings and run it, then post your score

2300 - 2600 is about what a 1070 should fall under

your CPU is holding back the 1070, pretty sure of it, i did the benchmark at your settings and got a significantly higher score/FPS

To : notea

Yes cpu is one of the reasons. Amd vs Intel

You didnt mention that I have 8 gb Ram , and you are at 16 gb ram , thats 2 x more :heink:

Nice compare.

GTX 1070 is 1080p killer , no doubt :ouch:

8 gb is more than enough to run this benchmark

more ram would do nothing really,

and would only affect scores if he was running faster ram
