Hi,

I've made a mistake with a new build. It has an ssd with windows on it and a normal hdd.

He hdd wasn't visible so I went to disk management, right clicked the drive and set partition as active.

No I have restarted the PC I am getting the message "an operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system"

Clearly I have selected the ssd by accident instead of the hdd. How do I fix his without reinstalling widows? It's literally a fresh build so I don't think I can roll back?

Thanks

In a very generalized way, yes, those are some of the basic diskpart commands you would use.

Now...for the specific switches that go with those commands...it is quite easy for a neophyte to screw things up.

This is like telling someone to use a "wrench", "socket", and "screwdriver" to perform auto maintenance.
Which ones, specifically?
