Usb3 ports not working

As the title says, my usb3 ports aren't working as they should.
Whenever I choose usb3 enable on from the bios, windows won't even load
So I have to make do using my usb3 ports as usb2

any help?

What kind of motherboard are you using?

please don't tell me it's because asrock sucks.
