If the 1080ti is not out a single 1080 is going to strugle with some of ghe newer games unless you turn the settings down.
Buy the memory in a 2X8gb set for less stress on the memory controller.

Unless you have maxed out your budget, I'd go for a 1TB SSD instead of the 256 GB, and drop one of the WD Blue's. If you're looking for performance out of your HDD in any form, I'd switch the Blue for a Black. Velociraptor's are really good, but can be fussy.
Just my humble 2 cents worth.

wondering if the stress difference between the 2x8 set vs. the 4x4 set really matters? i understand that 2x8 is a better config, but after all, this is a very open computer that is tailored to look good, especially with RGB lighting. imo the 4x4 set would look much better aesthetically.

What are you trying to do with it? For just gaming, that looks pretty good, but there are benchmarks showing the 950 doesn't benefit boot time or game loading time. It may be better to get the 850 evo or pro and have more storage. My 500GB evo is running low with just a few games and programs.
