Hello
I have pc with gtx960 and no integrated graphics that while was connected using hdmi to samsung monitor worked fine without a problem. When I connected it to old lg19ls4r (1440 x 900) using hdmi it shows output during pc startup up to the point of showing windows logo when the monitor makes "prt" like sound and shows no signal message.
I reinstalled windows 10, this time windows boots correctly but when i try to install nvidia drivers it makes the same sound and shows no signal message. I think the drivers are trying to force resolution that monitor is not supporting.

Solution
The problem was not exisiting edid on lg monitor.
I fixed it by installing nvidia drivers, switching to samsung monitor, used cru from https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU, deleted all resolutions for lg monitor, created one resolution 1440x900 60hz, executed restart.exe, waited for it to finish and switching back to lg monitor.
