Hi guys,

I have an Asus GL771 laptop and it came loaded with Windows 8.1.

The laptop did not come with any installation disk of Windows.

I did the free upgrade to Windows 10 a few months later.

I'll be purchasing a new SSD and I would like to make a fresh install of Windows 10.

I took a look at this link:

http://

And this doesn't really tell me much.

I fear that when I wipe my old hdd (since I'll use this for storage and my ssd for the OS), I wont have like an image of a clean install of Windows 10.

I don't need to create an image with all my files and such since I want this to be a clean install.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB << there is your installer

when you have new SSD, take old drive out (If you can)
change boot order in BIOS so USB is first, ssd second
boot from installer
follow this guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

when you reach screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will continue to install and reactivate once finished

On the screen where you choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an error about GPT drives, delete all the partitions on the hdd and press next. If it still gives error, cancel out of the installer and restart PC and start installer again, it will accept next on...

put old drive back in and make sure its not included in boot order in bios
move files from hdd to ssd if you want them.
