So, my old DVD burner died the other day. I have a fairly new computer that I built, but I never bothered to upgrade the optical drive, since I just don't use it that often. Now I am wondering if it is worth upgrading to blueray. Primarily this would be for data storage.

Since I haven't kept up my knowledge in this area, I am hoping some good person will give some advice or a recommendation on a good BR drive to get. I don't need a whole lot of details on the finer points, but some recommended models would be very helpful.

Reliability and data accuracy are more important than speed. If possible, I would also like to have lightscribe or some other labeling system in it. (Lightscribe is still a thing, right?) Labeling is a secondary consideration though.

I would love advice on the best media to buy also :)

Thanks for your time :)

LG is the manufacturer of drives with M-Disk support. I've got 2 WH14NS40, to save my important stuff on M-disk and no issues with them.

may see what software is included for bluray use you see a lot of reviews like from newegg on that and the bluray part of things don't work with out it
