I know there are a few Q&As about this one, but I've checked them all. It's not working.

I got a 29 inch, 2580x1080 LG monitor and when I plugged it in, it went into power saver mode.

Specs: FX-6300 CPU, RX480 8GB graphics card, 8GB RAM/Win 10 Home 64 bit.

The graphics card has 1 HDMI slot and three Display Port slots. I've got no DP cable at the moment, so I've tried two different (all working) HDMI cables and one HDMI to DVI-D cable. I uninstalled and reinstalled the AMD graphics drivers, changed the power scheme to enhance performance.

I've tried booting on and on and sometimes it displays, at a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 and sometimes 1024x768. When I try switching to 2580x1080, it goes to sleep again.

Now, I'm not sure the cables I have do support anything over full HD and that might be the issue. I've ordered a Display Port and will test that too. It might as be as simple as not having the proper cable. But if that's not the case, do you have any suggestions as to how to fix this? It feels like a Win 10/AMD drivers trick tweak that I'm missing.
