Running triple screens in 3072x768 resolution, to date the pair of 4gb GTX 670's EVGA SC have taken every game I've thrown at it with maxed settings, ftp can sometimes drop in the 20's on some game but they have been power houses of cards the last few years. Upgrading to a EVGA 1080 SC and expecting a performance increase. Am I mistaken in my expectation? Also I saw there were some improvements to surround gaming, anyone can attest to that on the 1080?
Also have an i7-3930K and 16GB Gskill 12800 ram cl 8-8-8-21. Should I consider upgrading the ram? I've never overclocked anything either, I know I can overclock the CPU as I'm running an Asus Rampage IV extreme, just not sure how far it will go and be stable.
