1080 or 1080ti for 1440 144hz?

Depends on what you are aiming for. If just running 3 monitors, 1 primary and 2x secondary, then the 1080 is fine. If you are trying to get Nvidia Surround, where you've basically got all 3 monitors running the game, 3x primary, then the 1080ti would be the better option, especially at 1440p/144Hz.

1080 will be fine. For now. In the not too distant future, that might change or with advancements in Vulcan and DX it might not. That's the gamble with paying extra for the ti.

Worth it is a personal thing, both are good choices. Check out the 1080Ti benchmarks, they usually include the 1080 too.
