I have a piece of electronic test equipment (not a std PC) that was designed to drive a CRT at 1600x1200 75hz. Switching to 60hz isn't possible.

I'm looking for a list of LCD monitors that can handle 1600x1200 @75hz.

I believe the following will but I'm looking for any additional models people may know of, since I'll be looking to pickup whatever I can find used/cheap.

Phillips 200p - https://www.manualslib.com/manual/123394/Philips-Brilliance-200p3a.html?page=2#manual
HP TFT2025 - http://www.manualsdir.com/manuals/89026/hp-compaq-tft-2025.html?page=25
HP L2335 - https://www.manualslib.com/manual/71458/Hp-L2335.html (page 38, preset 19)
Lenovo l220x - https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/migr-68864

what kinda of port does the test equipment output with VGA plug????

also the majority of monitors with resolutions higher then 1600x1200 will can automatically support it(most have what is called zoom or fill mode to fill up the whole screen) so you can get a panel with a higher pixel size. its the 75hz that can be the issue as its not really a standard all lcd support though.

Aha, what you must be talking about is an HP/Agilent 16700-series logic analyzer!

I have considered making a universal adapter for this sort of thing, which would drop or duplicate frames to match whatever refresh rate is required on the output.

Major parts required include a couple of PLLs, an FPGA, some SDRAM for a framebuffer, a DAC (can probably get away with R-2R resistor DAC), and then of course the ADC. That's the hard part, since the pixel clock for 1600x1200@75 has gotta be at least 150 MHz.

Since you're into electronic test equipment, you should make it. I'd buy one.

bingo.

I ended up picking up a L2335 on eBay. Specs say it can do 60 and 75hz ar 1600x1200. We shall see (once it arrives).
